Children's Privacy
The short version, for parents. The whole notice is beside it.
Last written: 14 September 2026
Who this is for
A parent or guardian enrolling a child in the Torah Arena, in the Bnei Noach school or in the Hebrew school. If you are a grown-up learning for yourself, the whole notice covers you.
The full notice is here: Privacy Notice.
What a child's record holds
- His name and his division, and the class he was placed in.
- The e-mail address the school writes to — the parent's, and where the child is old enough to have one, the child's.
- What he has opened and what he has marked as learned, his streak, and the lesson to resume.
- If he writes in the crisis chat or a form: his words, and the connection details recorded with them (IP address, approximate place, device, browser).
- If he uses the microphone: the recording of his voice, sent to ElevenLabs to become text.
- Documents sent with the application, deleted automatically after 180 days.
Parental consent
A child is enrolled by a parent or guardian, never by himself. The application asks for that consent with a box the parent ticks, and the school records when it was given.
A parent's account is linked to a child's by a six-digit code, valid for 15 minutes. A parent may unlink at any time.
What we never do
- No advertising, of any kind, to anybody.
- No profiling of a child and no automated decision about a child.
- No selling and no sharing for somebody else's marketing.
- No behavioural tracking: the site's measurement is cookieless.
Safety in the classroom
A child's classroom is fenced in the school's own code: texts that are not for children are refused; videos come from a verified Chabad channel or a short list of vetted Orthodox teachers; boys learn with male teachers, and girls' rooms show a woman's shiur first and otherwise a Chabad rabbi's. The AI study partner is a computer program, not a rav, and says so; it runs on a commercial AI model (xAI / OpenAI), so what a child writes to it leaves the school.
A child-reachable message surface is never a private channel with a stranger.
What a parent can ask for
Ask for a copy, a correction or an erasure through the Contact Us form on any page, or on the Support page. We will ask one question back, enough to be sure you are the parent.
